Terms of service

Last updated 21 October 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and 1001 Toolbox (operated by Ehtesham Ali, “we”) for using Payloom. By creating an account or using Payloom you accept them on behalf of yourself and the company you sign up for.

1. The service

Payloom is online software for running monthly payroll: employee records, payroll runs, income tax and statutory deductions, payslips and bank sheets. It is a calculation and record-keeping tool. You remain responsible for checking its results, for paying your employees and for meeting your own tax and legal obligations.

2. Accounts

  • You must give accurate details and be at least 18 and able to act for your company.
  • Keep your password safe. You are responsible for what happens under your account and your team members' accounts.
  • Tell us straight away at hello@1001toolbox.com if you think someone else has accessed your account.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • break the law, or enter data you have no right to process;
  • try to access another company's data, probe or break our security, or overload the service;
  • copy, resell or reverse-engineer Payloom, or use it to build a competing product;
  • use automated means to create accounts or scrape the service.

We may suspend an account that breaks these rules, and will tell you why.

4. Your data

Your company owns the data it enters into Payloom. You give us permission to store and process it only to provide the service to you, as described in our privacy policy, where we act as your processor. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to process your employees' data and for its accuracy. You can export your payroll registers and bank sheets at any time.

5. Plans and billing

  • Paddle is the merchant of record. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Your purchase is also subject to Paddle's buyer terms.
  • Auto-renewal. Paid plans are subscriptions that renew automatically each month, or each year if you choose yearly billing, and are charged to your payment method until you cancel.
  • Prices and taxes. Prices are shown on our website and at checkout. Paddle calculates and collects any sales tax or VAT that applies, and the checkout shows the final amount before you pay.
  • Changing plans. You can upgrade or downgrade from Billing at any time. A change between paid plans takes effect immediately, and Paddle charges or credits the prorated difference.
  • Cancelling. Cancel from Billing or the customer portal. Cancellation stops the next renewal; your paid features stay on until the end of the period you've paid for, and then your account moves to the Free plan. Nothing is deleted.
  • Failed payments. If a renewal fails, paid features stay on for a short grace period while Paddle retries. If it still fails, the account moves to the Free plan.
  • Refunds are covered by our refund policy: a full refund of any charge if you ask within 14 days.
  • Where we agree to take payment by bank transfer instead, the plan runs for the months paid for and does not renew by itself.

6. The Free plan

The Free plan covers up to 5 employees and 1 user, with the features listed on our pricing page. We may change its limits with notice; if your company is over a new limit, your existing data stays and you can keep viewing it.

7. Availability and support

We work to keep Payloom available and your data backed up, but we don't promise uninterrupted service. The Free plan comes with no service level and best-effort support. We may change or retire features; if we remove something important to a paid plan, we will tell you in advance.

8. Ending the agreement

You can stop using Payloom and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or that doesn't pay. If we close Payloom altogether, we will give at least 30 days' notice so you can export your data, and refund any period you've paid for but can't use.

9. Disclaimers

Payloom is provided “as is”. Tax slabs, statutory rates and calculations follow published rules as we understand them, but laws change and every company is different. Payloom is not tax, legal or accounting advice. Check figures before you pay or file, and ask a professional when in doubt.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, penalties, or loss of data you could have exported. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We change the date at the top, and for significant changes we email account administrators at least 14 days before they apply. Using Payloom after that means you accept the new terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, and its courts have jurisdiction over any dispute, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim there.
